VOTE FOR OZTUMER TO WIN FEBRUARY GOAL OF THE MONTH

10 March 2017

Playmaker nominated for February accolade...

Erhun Oztumer has been shortlisted for the Sky Bet League One Goal of the Month award for February.

It is the second time the 25-year-old has been nominated for the award, having picked up the gong for his 40-yard lob at Swindon in October.

The Saddlers playmaker netted three times in February, against Northampton, Bolton and Peterborough.

The goal against Bolton was the pick of the bunch, despite Walsall slipping to a 4-1 defeat at the Macron Stadium.

Just four minutes in the ball fell to Oztumer 40 yards out. The diminutive schemer spotted Ben Alnwick off his line and struck a dipping first-time half-volley which sailed over the keeper and into the corner of the net.

It was another special strike from the ‘Turkish Messi’, who has scored 14 goals already this season.

And now it is up to YOU to help our ‘Wizard of Oz’ win the award!

All you need to do is visit skysports.com and cast your vote in the fan poll. Voting closes on Tuesday 14th March, with the winner announced three days later.

Chesterfield’s Andrew Tutte and Oxford’s Rob Hall complete the three-man shortlist for League One.
