Playmaker scoops prestigious prize...
Erhun Oztumer's wonder strike against Bolton has been named the Sky Bet League One Goal of the Month for February.
With four minutes on the clock, the creative schemer struck a spectacular dipping half-volley from fully 40 yards which sailed over Bolton keeper Ben Alnwick and into the net.
“Goals are what win games - unfortunately this one didn't but I've won an award for it again so I'm really happy,” said Oztumer, who received 63% of the public vote.
“I remember the ball was bouncing around and it came to me. I had no options but to shoot so I just hit it with the outside of my foot on the half-volley and it flew into the top corner.
“It was a great feeling to score in front of a big crowd against a very good side. I always dream about scoring those goals.”
Sky Sports pundit Don Goodman, one of the competition judges, added: "You need the vision and the awareness to spot the opportunity but having the technical ability to pull it off is sensational."
It is the second time this season Oztumer has won the best goal prize, having received the award in October for his long-range lob at Swindon.
But which was better?
“I think people would choose this one because it was on the half-volley,” Oztumer commented.
“It needed a bit more technique and a bit more bravery to take it on really. Whereas the Swindon one was on the floor, I had time to dribble and I had options as well.
“I'm just happy to get two awards - hopefully I can make it a hat-trick soon.”
The diminutive playmaker fought off competition from Chesterfield’s Andrew Tutte and Oxford’s Rob Hall to scoop the February accolade.
