EDWARDS AND CUVELIER VISIT BEACON PRIMARY

31 March 2017

WFC Community Programme's fifth player visit this month...

Saddlers players Joe Edwards and Florent Cuvelier visited Beacon Primary School in Willenhall yesterday.

The pair, along with Walsall FC Community Programme, joined Year 6 for an ‘Active Maths’ session.

This was followed by a tour around the school with sports coach Dan Johns and a handful of pupils.

The Saddlers then joined a school assembly where they answered questions from the children.

Pupils had also designed Walsall kits for the players, with Edwards and Cuvelier selecting winners from each year group.

Paul Larvin, Community Manager for Education, said: “It was great that the players could come to Beacon Primary and the children seemed very excited to meet them.

“This was Walsall FC Community Programme’s fifth player visit in March, and we always look to be as involved locally as possible.

“Player visits are a brilliant way of engaging with the Walsall community, particularly in schools.

“They help to further establish Walsall FC as a ‘community club’, and the players are a pleasure to work with.”

More photos of the visit are available on the Walsall FC Community Programme's Twitter - @WFCCP - and Facebook pages.
