Oztumer and O'Connell out for two to three weeks...
Playmaker Erhun Oztumer and centre-back Eoghan O’Connell will both be out for a minimum of two to three weeks.Oztumer came off after 14 minutes at Southend on Saturday with an ankle problem, while Celtic loanee O’Connell sustained a hamstring injury against Fleetwood last week.
The Saddlers’ next game isn’t for two weeks and manager Jon Whitney is hoping it won’t be long before the pair are fit and back in the side.
“We hope they’ll still play a part this season but they’re going to be at least two to three weeks,” said the 46-year-old.
“They remain really positive and they’re in good hands with Marc [Czuczman, physio]. It’s just a matter of how they respond over the coming weeks.”
