Marauding right-back Jason McCarthy has been shortlisted for the PFA Fans’ League One Player of the Month award for January.The Southampton loanee enjoyed an outstanding month, scoring three goals in four matches – including two at Bury - and impressing with his energetic, all-round displays.
The 21-year-old is up against MK Dons’ Chuks Aneke, Bury’s James Vaughan, Scunthorpe’s Josh Morris, Fleetwood’s Cian Bolger and Bradford’s Mark Marshall.
