Josef Penko will be mascot against Peterborough...Congratulations to Josef Penko who has won Walsall FC Community Programme’s mascot competition!
Six-year-old Josef will now be the Saddlers mascot for our home game against Peterborough on Saturday 18th February.
Joe’s mum Emma and dad Mark entered him into the competition, showing his love for Walsall FC, while his Aunt Michelle also sent a photo to WFCCP.
Josef is a season ticket holder in the Tile Choice Stand lower and regularly attends the Saddlers’ away games.
While it changes regularly, his favourite player at the time of writing is Jason McCarthy – Josef also wears the number 5 for his Under 7s team.
Josef’s mum Emma Penko said: “Joe is the only Walsall fan on the playground, however this doesn’t stop him banging the Walsall FC drum and telling everyone how fantastic his team are!
The prize was donated to the Community Programme by Peterborough-based charity Free Kicks Foundation, who aim to give children a day to remember with their favourite football club.
