Join the Saddlers' Guard of Honour

Welcome the players onto the pitch against Bradford City on Saturday 26th August...

15 August 2017

Walsall FC Community Programme are offering individuals the opportunity to form a Guard of Honour as the players enter the Banks’s Stadium pitch for the League One fixture between Walsall and Bradford.

For the first time, individuals can book a place as a Flag Bearer instead of the usual group bookings.

At £25 per person, each Flag Bearer receives a one-hour coaching session, an adult and junior match ticket, a photo opportunity on the stadium pitch, a signed replica match ball raffle, and flag bearer duties.

Community Director, Adam Davy, said: “As a club we pride ourselves, particularly through the community scheme, in offering opportunities to engage with the club.

“Usually we offer the flag bearer experience out to groups, such as local teams. We recognise that there will be a number of children who would love to be a Flag Bearer but do not necessarily have the opportunity as part of a group.

“To offer this individually we hope that we are opening the door for more children and families to take part in this fantastic experience.

“We realise what an exciting and memorable opportunity it is for children to form the Guard of Honour, be part of the pre-match excitement and get close to the first-team players.

“I hope that there is a lot of interest and, if over-subscribed, we can extend this to other games over the course of the season.”

There are 16 places available for the Bradford game, on a first-come first-served basis. Terms and conditions apply. To book your place, please email community@walsallfc.co.uk.
