England centurion Karen Carney, who scored the winner in Bosnia in 2016, said: “I’m really looking forward to returning to Walsall. It’s a fantastic stadium and we’ve had great support there before.
“Bosnia were a tough team to break down in the last campaign so we’re expecting a good test and will be hoping to get the win and get some goals as well.
“I am sure we’ll have a strong crowd cheering us on.”
"We're delighted to be hosting England Women in a World Cup qualifier here at the Banks's Stadium," said Club Secretary Daniel Mole.
"We are thankful to the Football Association for selecting us to host yet another prestigious fixture and feel sure it will be as successful as the events we have hosted on their behalf in recent seasons.
"We would also like to wish the Lionesses every success in their Euro 2017 semi-final against the Netherlands on Thursday night.
"They have had a wonderful European Championships thus far, and hopefully by the time the game at the Banks's comes around, they will be champions of Europe."
England will open their Group 1 qualifying campaign against Russia at Tranmere Rovers’ Prenton Park on Tuesday 19 September (7.05pm KO).
