The Belgian midfielder was one of several players taking part in our Open Training Session
Florent Cuvelier says the club are very grateful to all the fans who attended our Open Training Session on Monday afternoon.
Cuvelier was among the first-team players training in front of hundreds of Saddlers fans at the Banks’s Stadium.
Not only were the first-team put through their paces by manager Jon Whitney and his coaching staff, but several youngsters had the opportunity to take penalties against goalkeeper Liam Roberts on the pitch.
“It was very good, and nice to see some young fans as well,” said Cuvelier.
“We're very grateful to all the fans who turned up. It's quite unique.
“I’ve always said that Walsall is a very friendly club and days like today will show that. It’s a nice atmosphere, the fans are really close to the players and vice versa.
"Fans on a match day make a big difference.
“They can see we don’t just kick a ball around for a few hours - we put work in the gym and also at home where you have to recover and be strategic with your food.
“It’s good for the fans to they can get an insight into what we do on a daily basis, and hopefully enjoy it.”
