Community Spotlight: Apprentices at WFCCP

3 April 2017

Join the team...

Walsall FC Community Programme are looking for three apprentices to join the team.

The apprentice will be responsible for assisting the planning, preparation and delivery of high quality football, PE and sport provision to children and young people in an education and community environment.

Their main coaching area will be football, but all candidates must be comfortable with delivering a variety of different sports and developing into a PE Specialist.

The apprentice will also have some administrative duties.

Paul Larvin, Community Manager for Education, said: “The apprenticeships scheme has been a success for over 20 years.

“Most of our community coaches have come through an apprenticeship scheme, including myself and WFCCP’s Director Adam Davy.

“Some of our previous apprentices have gone on to become primary school coaches, learning mentors, and even to coach football abroad.

“It is a fantastic opportunity for the right people to advance a career in sports coaching.”

To apply, please send your CV and covering letter to leah.brown@sportstructures.com.
