A local group has embarked on a ‘Get Fit’ programme for Over-30s.The Walsall African Initiative Social Organisation (WAISO) arrange various African functions and events, and their membership is open to all African descendants within Walsall.
The sporting branch’s ‘Get Fit’ programme is currently very well attended and football is proving a particularly popular activity.
WAISO have also been invited to take part in many tournaments in the Midlands this year, representing Walsall at the events.
They have tennis and table tennis teams, while some members even took part in the Warwick Wolf Run marathon.
As well as sport, WAISO has events to promote African attire, food and music – all part of their wider mission to integrate with the greater population of Walsall.
