West Midlands foster care agency, Options Fostering, has got involved in the beautiful game by striking up a relationship with the Wyrley Wildcats U11s.
Options Fostering has agreed to sponsor shirts and purchase rain coats for the girls’ team, which belongs to Wyrley Juniors.
The sponsorship deal came about after Options learned that one of its carers, Pete Jones, was involved in coaching the team, which his foster child also plays for. Unfortunately Pete, a lifelong Walsall fan and season-ticket holder, has had to miss out on the day due to a family holiday.
To celebrate the deal, Options Fostering is treating the girls to a day out at the Banks’s Stadium tomorrow, including a coaching session with Walsall FC's Community team.
Options Fostering manager, Fleur Johnson, said: “We were happy to step in and help when we heard about Pete’s involvement with the Wyrley Wildcats. Our foster carers give so much to the children in their care, we thought it would be a lovely way to show our appreciation.”
