A host of Saddlers have been away on international duty over the past fortnight.Walsall’s club record signing Andreas Makris came on as a substitute in Cyprus’ 2-0 loss to Greece in their World Cup Group H qualifier.
The 20-year-old was also named in Cyprus’ starting XI for their next qualifier against Bosnia & Herzegovina, which also ended in a 2-0 reverse.
Striker Simeon Jackson earned his 49th cap for Canada in their international friendly against Morocco in Marrakesh.
