Midfielder shortlisted for October award...
Walsall playmaker Erhun Oztumer has been nominated for the League One Player of the Month award for October.The diminutive midfielder has been in sparkling form for the Saddlers this season, netting eight goals in 18 league and cup appearances since arriving from Peterborough in the summer.
October proved a particularly fruitful month for the ‘Wizard of Oz’, with four crucial strikes in five league fixtures – including a magnificent double in the victory at struggling Swindon.
The creative schemer also notched Walsall’s winner in a five-goal derby thriller against Shrewsbury and rescued a point at home to neighbours Coventry with a well-taken second-half equaliser.
Bolton striker Zach Clough, Rochdale full-back Joe Bunney and Sheff Utd forward Billy Sharp have also been shortlisted.
The winner will be announced this Friday, 11th November.
