INTERNATIONAL CALL UPS: BRADSHAW AND DEMETRIOU

9 May 2016

Duo to remain with the Saddlers should we reach play-off final...

SADDLERS Striker Tom Bradshaw, has been named in Wales’s 29-man squad who will meet for a training camp in Portugal ahead of UEFA EURO 2016, subject to our play-off involvement.

The 20-goal marksman made his international debut in March when he replaced Leicester City’s Tom Lawrence in the second half of a 1-0 defeat in Ukraine.

Bradshaw, who scored in our 5-0 win at Port Vale on Sunday, will again link up with his fellow countrymen as Wales step up preparations for their first major tournament since 1958.

However, if the Saddlers reach the Sky Bet League One Play-off final, Wales will not include Tom Bradshaw in their pre-tournament training camp and Manager Chris Coleman will continue to assess the 23-year old ahead of naming his final 23-man squad for France on 31st May.

Meanwhile, Defender Jason Demetriou has been called up for Cyprus’s friendly with Serbia on 25th May. However, like Bradshaw, the Saddlers advancement to the Play-off final at Wembley on May 29th would see Demetriou remain with Jon Whitney’s squad.
