O'DRISCOLL: CONCENTRATE ON OURSELVES

1 March 2016

Walsall host Scunthorpe this evening...

Head coach Sean O’Driscoll says his Walsall team must concentrate on themselves rather than worry about the opposition.

The Saddlers are fourth in League One heading into tonight’s match against an improving Scunthorpe side who have won four of their last six games.

Ahead of this evening’s fixture, O’Driscoll said: “We want to win every game we play.

“We’ve got to be in control of our own performances and so far they’ve been really good and really positive.

“You don’t want to worry too much about the opposition. You’ve got to understand what is coming at you and what their strengths are.

“But for us, the sooner we can get fluid, the better we are as a team. Sometimes, you have to find different ways to do that.

“Sometimes it means playing from the back, other times it means getting the ball forward quickly into the spaces behind or trying to play between the lines.

"It’s about trying to understand in each specific game what you have to do.

“Our levels of performance have been first class this season and that’s as much as you can control in football, so that’s what the focus is on.”
