One lucky school to host the 2016/17 kit reveal on Tuesday 5th July...

WALSALL Football Club and our principal partner HomeServe are kicking off a competition for schools across the town to win a once in a lifetime opportunity to host the launch of the club’s new kit for the 2016-2017 season along with a training session.

After racking up an impressive 84 points last season, there's plenty of optimism heading into the new campaign. The club are due to unveil the new club kit on the 5th July but this time we're doing so with a twist!

Saddlers’ players and staff have joined forces with Walsall-based home assistance company HomeServe to find one lucky school in the region to host the unveiling of the new season’s kit. And, as an added bonus, a selection of Walsall stars will host a one-off training session with pupils at the winning school!

“We love supporting our local community and our partnership with Walsall FC is a big part of that. It’s fantastic that this unique experience is on offer to so many young Walsall FC fans across the region”, said John Greaves, Brand Director at HomeServe. “Training with the Walsall FC players and staff, and seeing the kit before anyone else, is a very special opportunity. Unfortunately only one school can win. However, we hope to give one lucky group of schoolchildren some memories to last a lifetime.”

Stefan Gamble, CEO, Walsall FC, said; “We are delighted to support HomeServe with this initiative as part of our official kit launch. This is a great opportunity to bring the club, our official sponsor and the community closer together. The kit reveal is always an eagerly anticipated and exciting event as we approach a new season. The club has a reputation for having close ties with the local community and this reinforces that relationship with the next generation of Walsall supporters. We would like to thank HomeServe once again for their fantastic support and hopefully this is just one of many initiatives we will run throughout the season.”

All people have to do to enter the competition (which is open now until midnight on Thursday 23rd June) is visit HomeServe’s Facebook page at and tell HomeServe why their child’s school deserves a visit from the Super Saddlers.

Entrants must be aged over 18 and full terms and conditions are available on the Facebook page.

The Saddlers’ kit launch and training session will take place at 3pm on Tuesday 5th July.
