INTRODUCING OUR NEW 2016/17 HOME & AWAY KITS

5 July 2016

New kits unveiled...

Walsall FC are proud to reveal the new Carbrini home and away kits for the 2016/17 campaign.

In partnership with our premium sponsors HomeServe, the stylish new strips were unveiled at an official kit launch at New Invention Junior school in Willenhall this afternoon.

Manager Jon Whitney, first-team coach Dean Holden, captain Adam Chambers and new signing Florent Cuvelier attended the school, who won a Facebook competition, ran by HomeServe, to host this special event.

Parents were asked to tell HomeServe why their child’s school should receive a visit from the Saddlers and there were 187 entries by the closing date.

The prize was awarded to New Invention, in recognition of their support to the surrounding community and their charity fundraising initiatives.

Our new 2016/17 red and black check home shirt was inspired by the 1997/98 jersey worn by former favourites including Adrian Viveash, Dean Keates, Jeff Peron and Roger Boli.

The home kit is completed with predominantly red shorts, and red and black hooped socks.

Our restyled 2016/17 away shirt is light blue with white sleeves and a navy trim. The shorts are predominantly white, with light blue and white hooped socks completing the ensemble.

Both home and away shirts have 'THE SADDLERS' embroidered on the back, with the club initials 'W.F.C.' featuring on the socks.

Commercial Manager Wayne Thomas said: "We are delighted to have unveiled our new 2016/17 home and away kits at New Invention Junior School, in partnership with Homeserve.

"Walsall FC and Homeserve have very strong links with the local community and we were keen to give a deserving school the unique opportunity to host this special event.

"As for the kits, we are delighted with what JD have produced for us.

"The red and black check design will evoke memories of the eventful 1997/98 campaign under Jan Sorensen when we had two exciting cup runs and played Manchester United at Old Trafford.

"The blue away strip is very clean and I look forward to seeing plenty of fans wearing the new kits."

The home and away kits will go on sale in due course. We will keep supporters updated.
