Bryn Morris joins the club on an initial two-month loan deal...

TALENTED teenager, Bryn Morris has joined the club on an initial two-month youth loan from Middlesbrough.

The former England under-19 captain will link up with Sean O’Driscoll having previously worked under the Saddlers Head Coach when on international duty.

“I’m really happy to be here,” said Morris. “I’ve obviously worked with Sean before and he’s got a really good philosophy.

“I loved playing for him and we had some really good results with England [under 19’s].

“When I spoke to him [Sean O’Driscoll] he said it’s the clubs philosophy to give young players a chance.

“So that’s good for me and shows young players that there is a pathway through the system.”

The Hartlepool-born Midfielder joined Middlesborough’s Academy at the age of seven and progressed through the ranks to sign professional forms in 2013.

He made his senior debut in an FA Cup tie against Hastings United before appearing for the first time in League competition in a 2-0 defeat to Sheffield Wednesday at the end of the 2012/13 campaign.

The talented teenager continued his development away from the Riverside, joining then League Two side Burton Albion on a one month loan in November 2014.

Morris enjoyed further loan stints with Coventry City, again linking up with a former Manager in Tony Mobray, and York City earlier this season.

“I’m a ball-playing midfielder with lots of energy who likes to start the play off,” he added. “I’m looking forward to working hard on the training pitch and to try and get in the team.

“I want to play as much football as I can.

“I know I’m joining a winning team so obviously I’m not just going to walk straight in but I’ll work hard and see what happens.”

Despite joining the club in time for this weekend’s Emirates FA Cup tie with Reading, Morris is cup tied and will not feature in the match day squad.

Morris has been assigned number 27 for the Saddlers.
