LOAN WATCH: BAKAYOKO SCORES IN WORCESTER WIN

25 January 2016

Three of our loan stars were in action...

JAMES BAXENDALE – MANSFIELD TOWN

Midfielder James Baxendale played the full 90 minutes of Mansfield’s 2-0 home defeat against Luton in League Two.

It was the 23-year-old’s third loan appearance for Adam Murray’s Stags, who are now 11th in the table, four points off the play-offs.

Paddy McCourt and Pelly Ruddock scored Luton's goals either side of half-time.

AMADOU BAKAYOKO & JORDAN MURPHY – WORCESTER CITY

Amadou Bakayoko scored Worcester’s opening goal in their impressive 3-2 victory over play-off hopefuls Fylde in National League North.

The young forward fired City ahead on six minutes after Fylde keeper Ben Hinchliffe had spilled Daniel Nti’s speculative shot.

Nti's penalty made it 2-0, before second-half goals from Dion Charles and Danny Rowe brought Fylde level, but Nti scored a late winner.

Victory lifted Carl Heeley’s men up to 16th in National League North, three points clear of the relegation zone.

Fellow Saddler Jordan Murphy was ruled out of the Fylde win but will be available for their next match against North Ferriby United.

LEVI ROWLEY – STAFFORD RANGERS

Young forward Levi Rowley made his Stafford Rangers debut as a second-half substitute in their surprise 3-0 reverse against 10-man Kidsgrove Athletic.

The 18-year-old, who joined his hometown club on a one-month youth loan last Monday, was introduced in the 66th minute with the score at 2-0.

But the promising youngster was unable to inspire a comeback as the Evo-Stik Division One leaders fell to a first home league defeat of the season.

Despite the defeat, Stafford remain top of the division - 15 points clear of second-placed Coalville - albeit having played four games more.
