The two sides last met back in December 2003 when a Jorge Leitao strike on the half-hour mark was cancelled out by a Nicky Shorey effort twenty minutes from time.
It took penalties to separate the two sides in our last FA Cup meeting in January 2003. Following a 0-0 draw at the Bescot Stadium, the replay, which ended in a 1-1 draw on the night, was finally decided by a penalty shoot-out with Colin Lee’s men victorious by a 4-1 score line.
The Royals also played their part in one of the most memorable matches in our recent history, a 3-2 extra time victory at the Millennium Stadium in 2001 - a match which promoted the Saddlers into the old First Division.
Details on when supporters can purchase a ticket will be announced in due course.
