Apply for your place now...

Walsall FC's Community Programme (WFCCP) are offering local people the opportunity to apply for a place within our Volunteer Programme.

This is an initial 10-week programme, which gives volunteers the following benefits:
  • Experience of coaching at a professional football club
  • CV Building
  • Support, assessments and feedback from WFCCP coaches
  • Full WFCCP uniform
  • Entrance to Walsall FC home games (Work Related)
  • Support towards future qualifications
  • A letter of reference
  • The possibility of becoming a casual (paid) member of our coaching team
The WFCCP are looking for motivated, enthusiastic and conscientious people, with an interest in the coaching element of football, to continue and develop activities within the community.

This Volunteer Programme has benefited many people, including Aaron Bryan (pictured above), 20, who is currently a full-time student at the University of Wolverhampton.

Two years ago, Aaron approached WFCCP and asked if he could shadow some of our coaches on our Talented and Gifted Development Programme to expand his knowledge and understanding of Coaching.

For 12 months, Aaron attended a session every Monday, to observe, ask questions and learn. The following six months, he became confident enough to make coaching points, deliver warm-ups and eventually lead sessions to U14s players within our Elite Development Programme.

Aaron made such a positive impression that he is now the U11s and U13s Head Coach of our Advanced Development age groups.

He will soon be taking his Youth Module Level 1, and has proved there are pathways for volunteers to achieve a coaching role within Walsall FC's Community Programme.
