LOAN WATCH: ROWLEY HELPS STAFFORD MAINTAIN LEAD AT THE TOP

15 February 2016

Defeat for Worcester, victory for Stafford...

AMADOU BAKAYOKO & JORDAN MURPHY – WORCESTER CITY

Walsall’s on-loan strikers, Amadou Bakayoko and Jordan Murphy, both featured in Worcester’s disappointing 2-0 defeat at Chorley in National League North.

Bakayoko played the full 90 minutes, while Murphy was withdrawn after 71 minutes.

Quick-fire second-half goals from Jordan Connerton and Dale Whitham earned Matt Jansen’s Magpies a comfortable win at Victory Park.

Worcester remain 16th in the table, five points above the drop zone.

LEVI ROWLEY – EVO-STIK NORTHERN PREMIER LEAGUE DIVISION ONE SOUTH

Levi Rowley played 76 minutes of Stafford Rangers’ 1-0 victory at Belper Town, which maintained their 17-point lead at the top of the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Division One South.

The 18-year-old striker was a constant threat in the early stages, testing Belper keeper Danny Haystead with a fine strike, before then shooting wide from distance.

Rowley also played an important role in the game’s only goal after 26 minutes, when his header was spilled by Haystead for Ben Haseley to fire home.

The youngster was making his fourth loan appearance for his hometown club, who have now accumulated 74 points from 31 league matches.

Stafford remain 17 points clear of second-placed Coalville, albeit having played four games more.
