LOAN WATCH: BAKAYOKO RESCUES WORCESTER A POINT

22 February 2016

City draw at Nuneaton, Stafford lose to Shaw Lane Aquaforce...

AMADOU BAKAYOKO & JORDAN MURPHY – WORCESTER CITY

Super-sub Amadou Bakayoko’s last-gasp header rescued Worcester a deserved point against play-off hopefuls Nuneaton in National League North.

City appeared to be heading for defeat after Dave Morgan hammered Nuneaton ahead on 82 minutes.

But Worcester equalised at the death, when Bakayoko, who came on with 17 minutes remaining, flicked Alex Gudger’s long ball into the air, turned and nodded past home keeper Jordan Smith.

It was the striker’s second goal in five loan outings for the club. Fellow Saddler Jordan Murphy, making his fourth City appearance, played 86 minutes and went close to finding the scoresheet himself with a deflected effort which went inches wide.

You can watch Bakayoko's goal below (3:04)...

LEVI ROWLEY – STAFFORD RANGERS

Teenage striker Levi Rowley was unable to prevent a narrow 1-0 defeat for table-topping Stafford Rangers at home to Shaw Lane Aquaforce.

James Walshaw scored the game’s only goal after 62 minutes with a header from Matt Thornhill’s corner.

Despite the result, Stafford remain 14 points clear at the summit of Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Division One South.
