Sloan spent two years with Walsall in the 1970s...Walsall Football Club are saddened to learn of the death of former player David Sloan.
The former Northern Ireland international scored three goals in 52 appearances for Walsall between 1973 and 1975.
He played up front with Bobby Shilton and Alan Buckley at Fellows Park.
Born in Lisburn, Northern Ireland, David netted 42 goals in 136 league games for Scunthorpe United before moving to Oxford, where he became the first U’s player to receive a full international cap.
David spent six years with Oxford prior to joining Walsall, his final club before retirement.
He passed away on 4th February 2016, aged 74.
