Walsall FC’s Community Programme invited members of the Newlife Foundation to the Banks’s Stadium for last weekend’s first-team match against Wigan.The club are supporting the foundation as part of our ‘Aspire to Engage’ initiative.
Newlife leads the way for disabled children
Newlife Foundation for Disabled Children has a mission – to change the lives of those we so passionately serve. And why? Because there are an estimated 1 million disabled children in the UK and we believe that these children and their families deserve the best.
Newlife is the UK’s largest charitable provider of essential equipment to meet the specialist needs of children with disabilities and terminal illness. This essential equipment can cost anything from £100 to thousands of pounds and families simply cannot afford the cost.
Newlife ensures that children and their families do not go without the equipment they need – equipment that can relieve pain, keep children safe as well as encouraging development and independence. Newlife provides equipment when it is most needed often when time is limited.
Newlife also guarantees 100% of all donations go directly towards funding this equipment - not a penny is taken out for any other costs. We also restrict funds locally allowing you to make a real difference in your county. After receiving your donation we will let you know what type of equipment you helped to fund and the difference it has made to the child’s life.
The demand for equipment is increasing daily – there are currently 94 children in the West Midlands with equipment needs totalling £30,307 - and if you can support in anyway then we would love to hear from you.
