YOUNG Saddlers fan, Nicole Reynolds, got to meet three of her heroes ahead of our League Cup clash with Brighton last Tuesday.Nicole, 19, who goes to university in Birmingham, was left devastated after losing all of her player photos, taken from Walsall’s open training session at the Banks’s Stadium last month.
After hearing this news, the Club invited Nicole to meet her three favourite members of the Saddlers’ squad – James Baxendale, Anthony Forde and Tom Bradshaw – before the Brighton game.
Dean Smith’s side recorded a 2-1 win against the Seagulls to book a dream draw with Premier League champions Chelsea – completing a memorable day for Nicole!
She said afterwards: “I was really upset when I lost all my pictures and it was great that the club contacted me via Twitter and invited me down to meet Tom, James and Anthony. They’re my three favourite players so it was great to get a picture with them all.”
Walsall winger, Baxendale, was only too happy to help.
He said: “It was great to meet so many fans at the open training session and when we were told Nicole lost her pictures, we were happy to take a few minutes out of our day to help.”
