2014/15 League One Season
 
7th February 2015 – Doncaster 0-2 Walsall
A goal in each half from Jordan Cook and Manchester City loanee, Jordy Hiwula, earned Walsall a comfortable 2-0 win. Cook opened the scoring after three minutes, when he hooked in at the near post from Anthony Forde's corner. Substitute Hiwula headed home a debut goal to seal victory on 70 minutes.
Saddlers team: O’Donnell, Purkiss, Taylor, J O’Connor, Downing, Chambers, Sawyers (Baxendale 88’), Cain (Flanagan 89’), Grimes (Hiwula-Mayifuila 66’), Forde, Cook.
Subs not used: MacGillivray, Preston, Henry, Murphy.

27th September 2014 – Walsall 3-0 Doncaster
Former Doncaster winger, James Baxendale, came back to haunt his old side with the opening goal in a convincing home triumph. The 22-year-old fired Walsall ahead in first-half injury time with a right-footed shot from inside the box. Tom Bradshaw doubled our advantage on 57 minutes, and Anthony Forde’s free-kick rounded off the scoring seven minutes later.
Saddlers team: O’Donnell, Taylor, O’Connor, Downing, Butler, A Chambers, Sawyers (Grimes 84’), Flanagan (Clifford 55’), Forde, Bradshaw (Manset 83’).
Subs not used: MacGillivray, Benning, J Chambers, Cook.


2012/13 League One Season

9th February 2013 – Doncaster 1-2 Walsall
Walsall recorded a sixth win in seven matches as they overcame promotion-chasing Doncaster. Andy Butler, who now plays for Rovers, headed home our opener after just 72 seconds. Billy Paynter equalised on 16 minutes, before Febian Brandy struck the decisive goal with nine minutes remaining.
Saddlers team: McLoughlin, Butler, Purkiss (J Chambers 42’), Downing, Taylor, A Chambers, Baxendale (Westcarr 68’), Mantom, Grigg, Paterson, Brandy (Featherstone 89’).
Subs not used: Grof, Holden, Hemmings, Bowerman.

18th August 2012 – Walsall 0-3 Doncaster
Doncaster started life back in League One with an emphatic opening day win at the Banks’s Stadium. Rovers, who were relegated from the Championship the previous season (2011/12), went in front on five minutes when Chris Brown slotted home. David Cotterill’s magnificent chip from near the halfway line made it 2-0, and Kyle Bennett added a third goal after half-time.
Saddlers team: Grof, J Chambers, Butler, Holden, Purkiss, Featherstone, A Chambers, F Cuvelier, Grigg, Paterson (Brandy 61’ (Bowerman 68’)), Hemmings (Baxendale 62’).
Subs not used: Walker, Benning, Downing, Jones.


2007/08 League One Season

1st January 2008 – Walsall 1-1 Doncaster
Scott Dann’s second-half leveller earned Walsall a point on New Year’s Day 2008. Jason Price gave Donny the lead on the stroke of half-time, before Dann restored parity with 15 minutes remaining.
Saddlers team: Ince, Weston, Gerrard, Fox, Dann, Bradley, Demontagnac (Hall 85’), Wrack, Taundry (Nicholls 57’), Sonko (Deeney 64’), Ricketts.
Subs not used: Bossu, Roper.

2nd October 2007 – Doncaster 2-3 Walsall
Walsall twice came from behind to edge a five-goal thriller at the Keepmoat Stadium. Matthew Mills fired the hosts ahead, Daniel Fox equalised, but Lewis Guy restored Rovers’ lead before the break. Mark Bradley made it 2-2 on 66 minutes, and Tommy Mooney’s penalty completed the turnaround five minutes later. Guy was sent off for Donny in stoppage time.
Saddlers team: Ince, Bradley, Dann, Dobson, Gerrard, Fox, Wrack (Weston 73’), Mattis, Demontagnac, Sonko, Mooney.
Subs not used: Bossu, Hall, Deeney.
