2014/15 League One Season

18th April 2015 – Crewe 1-1 Walsall
Tom Bradshaw’s deflected late effort cancelled out Marcus Haber’s first-half header at Gresty Road. The prolific striker struck with nine minutes remaining to extend our unbeaten run to five matches and keep Crewe in relegation trouble.
Saddlers team: O’Donnell, Purkiss, Taylor, O’Connor, J Chambers, A Chambers, Sawyers (Mantom 73’), Cain, Morris (Cook 65’), Bradshaw, Hiwula-Mayifuila.
Subs not used: MacGillivray, Downing, Henry, Grimes, Forde.

18th October 2014 – Walsall 0-1 Crewe
Subs not used: Grof, Downing, Jones, Hemmings.
Darlow, Butler, Holden, Taylor (Purkiss 83’), Taundry, Featherstone (Bowerman 74’), A Chambers, Cuvelier, Baxendale, Grigg (Brandy 89’), Paterson. Saddlers team:
Chuks Aneke scored a dramatic last-minute leveller as the Alex fought back from 2-0 down to draw. James Paterson and Florent Cuvelier made it 2-0 to Walsall after 26 minutes, but Mark Ellis pulled one back for Crewe on the stroke of half-time. Aneke completed the comeback in the second minute of stoppage time.
20th October 2012 – Walsall 2-2 Crewe

Johnstone, Holden, Benning, Downing, J Chambers, Featherstone, A Chambers, Baxendale (Hemmings 79’), Grigg, Paterson, Brandy (Westcarr 66’). Saddlers team:
Second-half goals from Luke Murphy and Chuks Aneke condemned Walsall to defeat on the final day of the season. Murphy’s spot-kick opened the scoring with 12 minutes remaining after Sam Johnstone had fouled Byron Moore. Aneke sealed Crewe’s win seven minutes later with a superb 20-yard strike into the top corner. The Saddlers finished the campaign in ninth place, with Crewe 13th.
27th April 2013 – Crewe 2-0 Walsall

O’Donnell, Taylor, Butler, Downing, J Chambers, Featherstone, A Chambers (Sawyers 85’), Mantom, Westcarr, Hemmings (Baxendale 78’), Hewitt (Lalkovic 86’). Saddlers team:
Two goals in four second-half minutes from Craig Westcarr helped Walsall seal a comfortable victory. Westcarr fired the Saddlers ahead with a deflected shot on 66 minutes, and doubled our lead with a penalty after being fouled by Gregor Robertson. Substitute James Baxendale added a third goal late on.
14th September 2013 – Crewe 0-3 Walsall

O’Donnell, Purkiss, Taylor, Butler, J Chambers, Featherstone (McQuilkin 45’), A Chambers, Sawyers (Ngoo 68’), Westcarr, Hewitt (Lalkovic 45’), Brandy. Saddlers team:
Mark Ellis’s injury-time own goal rescued a point for Walsall and denied Crewe a vital victory in their battle against the drop. Chuks Aneke looked to have won it for Steve Davis’ side when he coolly slotted home six minutes into the second half. But the unfortunate Ellis put through his own net in the first minute of added time to ensure honours finished even.
11th March 2014 – Walsall 1-1 Crewe

2013/14 League One Season

O’Donnell, Purkiss, Taylor, Benning (Manset 61’), J Chambers, Butler, A Chambers, Sawyers, Flanagan (Clifford 66’), Forde (Baxendale 82’), Cook. Saddlers team:
Alex Dugdale’s 86th-minute strike earned bottom-of-the-table Crewe their first away win of the season. The Crewe centre-back latched onto a loose ball to blast home the winning goal from close range. Mathieu Manset, Jordan Cook and Romaine Sawyers each had chances for the Saddlers, who dropped into the relegation zone.
