Murphy scores in Kidderminster win...

JORDAN MURPHY – KIDDERMINSTER HARRIERS

Jordan Murphy’s late header earned Kidderminster Harriers their first victory of the season as they beat Woking 1-0 to climb off the bottom of the National League.

Dave Hockaday’s Harriers entered the Aggborough contest eight points from safety and without a win since April - a run stretching back 23 matches.

And that barren streak looked set to continue, until Murphy nodded home Matt Young’s delightful cross with three minutes remaining.

It was the 19-year-old forward’s second goal in four loan appearances for the Worcestershire side.

The result lifted Kidderminster above Halifax into 23rd position, five points adrift of fifth-bottom Boreham Wood.

LIAM ROBERTS – RUGBY TOWN

Goalkeeper Liam Roberts kept a clean sheet as Rugby recorded a narrow 1-0 win against Leek in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Division One South.

The 20-year-old stopper, who joined Rugby on a one-month loan deal in mid-October, produced fine saves to deny Dan Shelley and Kyle Diskin.

David Kolodynski scored the game’s only goal after 52 minutes to seal Town’s third league win of the campaign.

The Warwickshire outfit are second bottom with 13 points from 14 matches.
