Football League agrees to seven subs for Johnstone's Paint Trophy Final...
THE FOOTBALL League has agreed to a request from both Walsall and Bristol City for seven substuitutes to be permitted at the Johnstone's Paint Trophy Final on Sunday, March 22nd.In each of the previous rounds only five substitutes have been allowed to be named on the team sheet.
“The Board of The Football League recently considered a request from Bristol City and Walsall to allow seven substitutes instead of five to be included on the team sheet for the forthcoming Johnstone’s Paint Trophy Final at Wembley Stadium on March 22," said a Football League spokesperson. "The Board acceded to the request and have committed to make this a permanent change to the competition’s rules for the Final.”
