Trip to the City Ground in First Round...
THE SADDLERS will travel to four-time winners Nottingham Forest in the first round of the Capital One Cup.
Dean Smith’s men will travel to the City Ground on the week commencing 10th August to face the Championship side.
The two sides have met 20 times, with the Saddlers winning 8 and drawing five of those meetings.
The last time we travelled to the East Midlanders was back in March 2008, when a Kevin Wilson own-goal helped salvage a 1-1 draw.
Our last away win over Forest came in the League Cup of 2002 with the dangerous duo of Jorge Leitao and Junior doing the damage.
