ELTON John and his band will visit Banks's Stadium on Saturday, June 13th 2015 as part of his European tour. This will be Elton’s first-ever performance in Walsall.

The tour will feature iconic hits and classic album tracks from throughout his incredible five-decade career, including a selection of songs from his highly acclaimed album, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road.

Elton John said in a statement: “I am very much looking forward to returning to the West Midlands and playing my first show in Walsall. I have such fond memories of my early shows at the clubs in the Midlands and I can’t wait to bring our show to the Banks’s Stadium. I am sure we will all have a fantastic time.”

“We are delighted to have been chosen as a venue for Elton John’s European Tour," added Saddlers' Chief Executive, Stefan Gamble. "This will be our first outdoor concert in over 20 years and will not only be a huge boost for the club, but a momentous day for the Town of Walsall and the wider Borough as a whole.

"I am delighted to announce that Banks’s Stadium as a venue will now be able to sell Elton John tickets directly! Local demand has been such that we have taken the decision, along with the promoter, to offer a direct ticket outlet to the public.”

Fans are able to purchase tickets directly from the Banks’s Stadium Ticket Office.

Commemorative tickets are being produced for the concert and the club is aiming for a fun festival atmosphere around the stadium on the afternoon of the concert.

Banks’s Stadium Ticket Office Manager, Laura Yates, said; “We are prepared for the rush for the Elton John tickets, having recently sold over 29,000 tickets to our fans going to Wembley!

"To be able to sell the full range of stand tickets and hospitality packages to see superstar Sir Elton is tremendously exciting.”
