THE SADDLERS took on the Nike Academy in a behind-closed-doors training game at the fantastic St. George's Park in Burton.Manager, Dean Smith was able to run the rule over a number of trialists as well as giving game time to the rest of his squad in a game that was played in three periods of 30 minutes.
It was a useful work-out as Walsall completed a 6-0 victory with Tom Bradshaw bagging a hat-trick along with goals from Adam Chambers, Romaine Sawyers and an own goal.
