Stefan Gamble appointed onto The Football League's Commercial Committee for League One...
WALSALL FC Chief Executive, Stefan Gamble, has been appointed onto The Football League’s Commercial Committee for League One.
“We had an unprecedented number of nominations for the position,” revealed Football League Chief Executive, Shaun Harvey. “All of the applications were of the highest calibre, but after discussing the matter with the club-elected Directors on The Football League Board, it was agreed that Stefan Gamble would be asked to take up the role.
“We are delighted that Stefan has accepted the position and he joins Mal Brannigan of Sheffield United who also represents League One on the committee.”
Stefan Gamble added: "It is a great honour and very humbling to have been selected to sit on the Football League's Commercial Committee in the face of such stiff competition.
“Centrally generated revenue is vital to all clubs and I hope to play my part to ensure the League as a whole can continue to benefit from the sound commercial foundations already in place, which in turn will safeguard guaranteed future revenue streams for Walsall FC."
