MORRIS HEADS OUT ON LOAN

30 January 2015

Wrexham switch for wide-man...

SADDLERS’ youngster, Kieron Morris, has joined Vanarama Conference outfit, Wrexham, on loan, subject to the necessary clearance being received.

The 20 year-old left winger has emerged through the Banks’s Stadium ranks to make a total of ten senior appearances in all competitions since signing his first professional contract during the summer of 2012.

“I’m looking forward to getting some competitive games under my belt,” said the Hereford-born youngster who has previously served both Leamington and Worcester City on loan. “It will be good to get a run of games and make my mark.

“I know that I’m going into a tough and physical League, but I am looking forward to the challenge that awaits me.

“This is an opportunity for me to show the Gaffer what I can do whilst also helping Wrexham climb the table.

“I was happy with the way in which I started the season but it’s been hard to break back into the team as we have been doing well, so this move gives me the chance to get game time at the end of the week.

“I’ve been working hard, and will continue to do so in order to make an impact.”

Although the loan is deemed as until the end of the Conference season, the club do have a 24-hour recall after 28 days.

“Because Wrexham are affiliated to the Welsh FA, the transfer was subject to FIFA Approval as a cross-border transfer,” explained Club Secretary, Daniel Mole. “Rather than sending Kieron on a month’s loan, only to have to reapply for International Clearance if all parties wished to extend after the initial 28-day period, we felt it prudent to loan Kieron for the duration of the season with the ability to recall after a month at any time.”
