LEGENDS LEND THEIR SUPPORT

27 January 2015

Trio of Legends with us this evening...

THIS evening we are delighted to be joined by three of our most popular players of the modern era as we extend a warm welcome back to Banks’s Stadium to James Walker, Dean Keates and Darren Wrack.

The trio will be in the Stadium Suite from 7.00pm where they will face a Q&A before meeting supporters. They will also be present in The Bonser Suite ahead of the game and on the pitch at half-time.

Wacka is our record appearance holder with a total of 534 outings to his name. He was part of promotion-winning teams in 1994/95, 1998/99 and 2000/01, via the play-offs at the Millennium Stadium.

He was also involved in our run to the Area Final of this competition in 1997/98 and 1998/99.

Dean Keates meanwhile is a local lad who came through the ranks to appear over 250 times for the club.

Starring in our promotion campaigns of 1998/99, 2000/01 and 2006/07, as he helped the club lift only the second League title in our history when we secured the League Two Championship in dramatic fashion courtesy of his late leveller at Swindon Town.

Completing the trio is Darren Wrack, another committed and long-serving player who was a firm favourite amongst the fans.

Spending a decade with the club, he helped us secure promotion in 1998/99, 2000/01 and 2006/07, having overcome a serious injury during the previous campaign.

Wrack made a total of 383 appearances for the club.

There are no fewer than 1,175 first-team appearances between them and we are delighted to be able to count upon their support on what is a big night for the club.

Don't forget that the turnstiles, bars and kiosks will open from 5.45pm with the restaurant open at 5.00pm. Season-ticket holders in the HomeServe Stand will be allowed Bonser Suite access, but only on production of your 2014/15 season-ticket booklet, so remember to bring that along with you. There will be Stadium Suite access for supporters in the Tile Choice Middle and Upper Tiers as numbers allow.

Tonight's Matchday Programme will be on sale from the usual outlets at just £2 per copy.

We want you all to wear red to show your support to Dean Smith and the players - there is a special offer on Diadora training wear in the Club Shop, which is open throughout today.

Don't forget that tonight's game is a sell-out - there will be NO tickets available on the evening.

Please allow extra time for your journey to and from the stadium as the slip-road to the southbound M6 at junction nine is closed.

Dare to Dream...
