ANTHONY Forde set The Saddlers on our way to victory at Deepdale with a sweet free-kick on what was a memorable night for the club.
“We came under a bit of pressure in the first half, but O’D kept us in it,” he said. “We stayed strong in the second half and deserved the win in the end.
“Our team shape is always very good and we got our goals on the breaks.
“I was always having that free-kick because I’d let Tayls and then Cooky have the previous two, so it was my turn! It was great to see it hit the back of the net.
“It will be tough in the second leg, we know that. They will come at us, but we’ll be ready for it and hopefully finish the job off.
“The second leg isn’t for a few weeks so all we can do in the meantime is focus on the next game and try to build some momentum.”
