CHAMBERS READY FOR BATTLE

27 February 2015

Defender ready to get into the groove...

EXPERIENCED defender, James Chambers, was showing off his battle scars ahead of our home clash with Leyton Orient on Saturday.

"I took a bang to the head at Preston on Tuesday," he explained. "I've had it stitched up and I'm ready to go again at the weekend... if the Gaffer picks me!

"The games are coming thick and fast at the moment and it's all about recovery and preparation for the next game.

"I enjoy it when it's like this because it allows you to keep the flow of performance.

"The lads are looking good at the moment; obviously we were disappointed to lose on Tuesday, but hopefully we can get into a groove and stay in it.

"The League is still so tight that a few results can make a big difference. It's important that we keep the focus and motivation and ensure that we're at it for every game.

"If we can do that, the results will come.

"We can't take any game for granted whether the opposition are up near the top of the table or down at the bottom.

"Our preparation will be right for every game and we will be looking to get back into winning ways on home soil on Saturday."
