Boss looks ahead to another away day...

KEITH Hill has done a fantastic job at Rochdale and we know it’s going to be another tough away day for us.

I thought he was up there with the managers of the season last year and they could have beaten us 7 or 8 at their place.

We were very poor on the day but we put that right in the next two games against them.

We’ll be going there full of confidence but we know we’ll have to be at our best to match them.

This stage in the season is always tough. There are Saturday and Tuesday games for the first few weeks and you could see against Southend there were a few players puffing at the end.

Fortunately I feel I’ve got a very strong bench at the moment and can make a few changes. With the cup campaigns and the league games to content with, the squad will definitely be used. I’ve been really impressed with our performances.

There’s no substitute to hard work and if we’re to win more than we did on the road last year then that’s the only formula there is. The players have been working really hard since they came back in the summer and are starting to develop a real belief in each other.

Anyone who has seen our performances will know they’ve been a real team effort.

Hopefully we can go and put in another one tonight and the result to go with it.
