KYLE ROWLEY HEADS OUT ON LOAN

7 August 2015

Youngster joins Sutton Coldfield Town on one-month deal...

UP-AND-COMING defender, Kyle Rowley, has joined Evo-Stick Northern Premier side, Sutton Coldfield Town on a one-month loan deal.

The switch will see the 18-year old link up with the Royals in a bid to gain valuable first team experience.

“It’s important to get games as a young professional,” commented Rowley. “Obviously I’m not expected to play as much for Walsall at the moment so the best thing I can do is to go and play.

“I know mens football is going to be a physical challenge but I think I can hold my own.

“I played some reserve team football last season so that was a good taste of what’s to come in terms of the physicality.

Rowley follows the likes of Jordan Murphy, Amadou Bakayoko, Kieron Morris, Reece Flanagan and Liam Roberts who all benefited from loan moves early in their professional careers.

“Speaking to Matt Preston and a few of the others who have been out [on loan], they’ve all returned as better players,” said Rowley.

“I hope when I come back I’ll be better for the experience as well and ready to make an impact here.

“Mentally as a player, you need to be playing. You can work your socks off at training but nothing compares to preparing all week for a match.

“That’s when all your hard work is rewarded.

“I’m a confident lad and I know a couple of faces at Sutton so I’m just going to be myself, keep my head down and try to do my best for the team.

“All of us are there for the same reason, we want to win games and play the best we can.”

Rowley is set to make his debut for the Coles Lane outfit against Stafford Rangers on Saturday.
