FORMER Saddlers Striker, Darren Byfield, will be pre-match guest in the Stadium Suite ahead of our League One clash with Coventry City.The Birmingham Born front-man came up through the ranks at Aston Villa and was given a Premier League debut by Brian Little in the winter of 1997.
After a succession of loan spells, the Jamaican international settled at the Bescot under the guidance of manager Ray Graydon.
Byfield went on to find the back of the net 12 times in 39 League appearances for the Saddlers but will be forever remembered for his 109th minute winner, in the Second Division playoff final at the Millennium Stadium.
He went on to represent 16 clubs over a career spanning 17 years including a second spell with the Saddlers in which he captained the side under Chris Hutchins.
The Stadium Suite will also be showing BT Sport’s LIVE early game between Manchester United v Newcastle United (kick off 12:45).
