TEAM TALK v FLEETWOOD (H), 11/4/15

Boss ready for the run-in...

WE'RE looking forward to the run-in. I was pleased with our performance levels over the Easter weekend, the only thing missing was goals.

If we continue to create chances, then the goals will follow. We know that Fleetwood will provide tough opposition, but we go into the game in a positive frame of mind.

We're relishing these final games and there is plenty for us to be positive about as a club. Yes, we've had a bad run of results, but performance-wise our last three home games have been superb and defensively we have looked solid.

On top of that, the reserves scored seven goals on Tuesday, with seven different scorers, and Tom Bradshaw returned to full training this week.

Tom has worked really hard in recent weeks to put himself up for selection at the weekend. It's a real boost to have him back and hopefully now he can figure in these final games of the season. Rico Henry also came through 50 minutes for the reserves this week, so I expect us to have a fully fit squad to choose from.

I must say that the supporters have been great in our last two games. They have really got behind us and can see the effort that the players have been putting in.

Our fans want to see the players working hard at their game, and they are getting that. They have been very supportive of the efforts that are being put in and hopefully we will all be rewarded with some winning results.

Every game is an opportunity and we look forward to welcoming a Fleetwood Town side who are pushing for the play-offs. They will come here with their tails up, but we played extremely well at their place to become the first team to beat them on their own patch and they will be well aware of that.

They are a club who have risen up the Leagues in recent years and Graham Alexander has assembled a strong squad, but if we maintain the high standards that we have set ourselves, we will give ourselves every chance of being successful.
