HIWULA LOAN EXTENDED TO END OF SEASON

8 April 2015

Manchester City loanee extends stay...

THE SADDLERS have extended the loan spell of Jordy Hiwula until the end of the season.

The talented 20 year-old first arrived at Banks’s Stadium on an initial one-month youth loan from Premier League, Manchester City, in February.

Following some lively displays, the England Under-19 International had his loan extended at the beginning of March and will now remain with The Saddlers until the end of the season.

“I am really pleased that we have been able to extend Jordy’s stay with us until the end of the season,” said manager, Dean Smith. “His attitude and application has been first-class ever since he has been here and I am very pleased with his development.

“There has been constant communication between ourselves and Manchester City and this move has benefitted all concerned.

“Jordy has fitted into the group extremely well and whilst he started like a house on fire in terms of goals, his performances since then have been excellent, and hopefully more goals will follow for him in these final weeks of the season.”

Hiwula scored on his Saddlers’ debut at Doncaster and went on to bag three goals in his first four games.

He has found the net four times in 14 outings for the club so far.
