Emerging 'keeper joins Rainworth MW...
EMERGING goalkeeper, Liam Roberts, has been recalled early from his loan spell at Rushall Olympic and joined Rainworth Miners Welfare on loan.The 19 year-old is looking forward to playing regular first-team football during his spell at Kirklington Road.
"Training has been going really well here," he said. "I feel sharp and as though I am improving with every session. The only thing missing is having a game at the end of it, that will be the next step for me.
"Hopefully this move will allow me to do that because I need a consistent run of games now.
"I've played at this level before, so I know that it's competitive. I'm joining a team that has struggled so far this season, and my aim is to help them improve.
"I know that the Gaffer will be keeping tabs on me, so I just want to be able to show him what I am capable of."
Roberts will be hoping to make his debut tonight in the Evo-Stik League Division One South clash at Brigg Town.
