Wide-man full of confidence...

WIDE-man, Anthony Forde, put in an impressive display during Saturday's victory over Preston North End, providing the supply for two of our three goals and generally causing the visitors' back-line problems all afternoon.

"It was a deserved win," said the likeable Irishman with a smile. "We've been unlucky not to get victories in a few games this season, so it was nice to finally get up-and-running.

"For us to score three goals and get the three points against a very good Preston team was a great result for us. Everyone played their part and I was delighted to contribute with a couple of assists.

"The hope now is that we can keep this going into our next game on Tuesday evening.

"Preston were a powerful team, who are sure to be up there this season, but we stuck with them very well and the result gives us plenty of confidence.

"I'd like to think that more positive results will now follow; we've stuck to our beliefs this season and know that if we keep doing the right things, the results will come.

"The spirit has always been good here, and now we can't wait for Tuesday's game at Rochdale to come around."

Saddlers Player subscribers will be able to see the full interview with Anthony Forde later today...
