PRECAUTIONARY SCAN FOR BRADSHAW

6 October 2014

The latest on our leading scorer...

LEADING goalscorer, Tom Bradshaw, was forced out of the action during the first half on Saturday with a hamstring problem.

The 22 year-old  former Shrewsbury Town man was replaced by Jordan Cook with just 35 minutes on the clock.

“Tom felt it as he struck the ball, so we took no chances and replaced him as soon as we could,” said manager, Dean Smith. “Hopefully it’s just a strain; he’s going for a scan on Tuesday just to make sure that there is no tear.

“It means that he won’t be available for our Johnstone’s Paint Trophy tie at Rochdale, but his absence gives someone else the opportunity to come in and show what they can do.”

Bradshaw has made an explosive start to the season with five goals to his name so far and was on standby for the full Wales squad on the back of his fine, hard-working displays for The Saddlers.
