Defender glad to be back in action...

JAMES Chambers was back in action at Spotland and played his part in our 1-0 win as we made it through to the Area quarter-finals of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy at the expense of Rochdale.

“We put in a real shift out there,” he said. “It was a good result and a pleasing performance.

“We wanted to try and put things right from the last time and maybe had a bit to prove - I felt we did that.

“The Gaffer made a few changes to the team and it shows the strength in depth we have here because the lads that came in all did a good job.

“We’re picking up some momentum now; we have a good team here and believe that we can compete against anyone.

“We’re trying to do things the right way and hopefully we can push on from here.

“It would be nice to have a run in this competition and we look forward to the next round.”
