CAIN MAKES A NAME FOR HIMSELF

22 October 2014

New-boy slots straight in...

NEW-BOY, Michael Cain, came straight into the starting line-up for his Saddlers’ debut at Crawley and whilst he was pleased with our dominant performance, there was disappointment at the end as our hosts nicked an undeserved late winner.

“The result was hard to take,” admitted the Leicester City loanee. “I thought the team were excellent with everyone doing their job.

“There is no question that we deserved something from the game, even a point would have been harsh because we were dominant.

“We can’t afford to dwell on it because the games are coming thick and fast and we have to take the positives into Saturday now.

“The lads here have been unbelievable and really helped me to settle in easily. I want to play regularly and hopefully I have done enough to impress.

“We know that it’s all about results and we have not got what we deserved here, so it is disappointing and hard to take.

“This was a step up from what I have been used to, but I enjoyed it out there; I was aware of the style that the team plays and it suits my game down to the ground, that’s what I have been brought up with.”
