Emerging front-man moves to Southport...

EMERGING front-man, Amadou Bakayoko, has joined Vanarama Conference outfit, Southport, on loan for a month.

The youth team product has been a regular on the scoresheet whilst coming through the Banks’s Stadium ranks and made his senior debut towards the end of last season.

He has made a handful of substitute appearances this term and joins the Haig Avenue outfit in a bid to gain regular competitive football.

His arrival comes just days after Gary Brabin was appointed into the Southport hot-seat.

“I just want to play games, so I can't wait to get stuck in and show what I can do," he said. "It's about going there, getting time on the pitch and scoring a few goals.

"I've enjoyed being part of the first-team group here and my aim is to come back ready to push on.

"A few of the younger lads have gone out on loan to get games and it is good experience.

"I know that I'm going into a tough, competitive League, but I feel ready for it and am confident in my ability to make an impact."
